Book of Kells Inspired Letter 'K'. Cross Stitch Pattern Chart. The Letter 'K'. The letter 'K' does not appear in the Book Of Kells as it was not used in either Celtic or Latin texts. The letter 'K' was, instead, represented by the letter 'C'. However, in order to provide stitchers with a full illuminated alphabet we have designed a letter 'K' in the same style as other letters in the Book Of Kells.
