Rory Gallagher (1948 - 1995) was an Irish blues rock guitarist singer and songwriter from Ireland. He first came to attention with the band Taste in the late 1960's. He was a gifted guitarist widely recognised by his peers and was one of the earliest Irish musicians to have success internationally. He had a very successful solo career and even more than twenty years after his death his influence and legend remains undiminished.
