Horse Racing on Stamps

Horse Racing on stamps is a very popular theme for stamp collectors and there have been many horse racing stamps issued around the world including of course Ireland.

The first Irish horses stamp issue was the 1981 Showjumping issue although horses have previously appeard on stamps such as the World Ploughing Championship issue of 1973. These miniature pieces are superb works of art in their own right.
