Irish Commemorative booklets tend to be issued as complements to stamps issued to mark major events, recent booklets for example have marked the hosting of the Ryder Cup golf team event in Ireland and the 150th Anniversary of the Dublin-Belfast railway line.Irish stamp booklets were first issued in 1931. However the first commemorative Irish stamp booklet was not issued until 1988, on the occasion of the Dublin Millennium.

Modern booklets typically contain detailed information and articles on the topic in question written by an expert. They make wonderful keepsakes.
